MHYSA performs out in the world and has toured internationally as a musical act, after gaining fans due to her albums fantasii (2017) and most recently NEVAEH (2020). MHYSA’s live show incorporates video projections I create using video art techniques I’ve developed. MHYSA’s sound is experimental and electronic, while it has R&B and soul origins. MHYSA also composes, produces and co-produces electronic music using laptops and synthesizers.

MHYSA’s songs focus on the small radical actions that are Black women holding space to exist safely and love ourselves safely, to be queer, to stand up for ourselves, to scream and feel in general and explore our own interior worlds.
