SCRAAATCH

SCRAAATCH is the collaborative sound and performance art project I engage with my life/work partner chukwumaa. SCRAAATCH’s work focuses on themes of communication across the Black diaspora, generational traumas, social upheaval, and the social conditions of urban environments.

We have performed together at festivals and art institutions such as The Kitchen, MoCADA, and MoMA PS1, New York; ICA, Philadelphia; Rewire, Netherlands; and Les Urbaines, Switzerland. Our most recent work, Tower of Babel was presented twice in Philadelphia last year: at Ice Box Projects Space and for the ICA at The Church of the Holy Apostles and The Mediator as programming for Colored People Time: Mundane Futures curated by Associate Curator Meg Onli. The performance was then included in Swiss arts festival Les Urbaines by Deborah Joyce Holman, Associate Director of Auto Italia London.
